CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNTANT

**Background in construction accounting required with minimum 1-year experience**
ROLE SUMMARY:
This is a project-oriented position. Projects are in various stages of development and this position will track milestones, draws, invoices, etc. Exceptional organizational and detail skills will be key. This is a highly interactive position and will be in near-constant touch with the project management team and report to the Accounting Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must have knowledge with basic accounting principles and job cost accounting
- Communicate with clients and subcontractors on invoicing and payments, collection calls as requested
- Contract administration; maintaining insurance certificates, filing preliminary notices, and preparing milestones for the project management team
- Track payments against contracts, track lien releases and communicate with project managers and general contractor to resolve payment issues.
- Knowledge of Lien Releases, UCC Forms and Bill of Sale
- OCIP and CCIP enrollments and compliance
- Experience with construction draws, AIA documents and various pay applications such as Textura, Procore and GC Pay
- Data Entry AP/AR - Input and post approved vendor payables into QuickBooks Enterprise
- Research and correct invoice discrepancies as needed and reconcile monthly vendor statements
- Perform month-end processes and procedures as assigned
- Cross training with the payroll team on weekly payroll functions. Will be asked to fill in as needed
- Assist in special ad-hoc projects as required
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Minimum 1-year construction accounting required
- Strong computer aptitude
- QuickBooks Enterprise
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook applications
- Attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to perform efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
